Experience virtuoso solo pieces performed by world-renowned lecturers at the 24th International Clarinet and Saxophone Courses in Ostrava! A concert of the best in their field will be performed with the accompaniment of the Májóvák Karviná Symphonic Wind Orchestra.

This Czech wind ensemble has a tradition of over a century and is the recipient of awards from the most prestigious world competitions and festivals dedicated to wind music. Almost sixty musicians will resound with extraordinary colors of wind harmony in the unique acoustics of the concert hall of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava.

Together they will breathe life into transcriptions of well-known symphonic compositions and perform from the ballet Romeo and Juliet to contemporary music. For the first time ever, the Czech audience will also have the opportunity to hear the original compositions Birds by the Japanese composer Toshio Mashimi and The Musketeers by the world-famous contemporary composer Óscar Navarra.
