Baroque music from composers:
Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679–1745): Salve Regina
Johann David Heinichen (1683–1729)
Antonio Vivaldi (1678–1741)
Francesco Gasparini (1668–1727)
The concert “Baroque Christmas” at the Tatra Truck Museum offers an unexpected and compelling fusion of music by the great masters with a setting steeped in technical heritage. Among iconic vehicles symbolising human ingenuity and labour, Baroque music will resound in the performance of the prestigious baroque orchestra Ensemble Inégal, led by Adam Viktora—interpretatively precise, radiant, and deeply spiritual.
The programme brings together works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, Antonio Vivaldi, Johann David Heinichen, and Francesco Gasparini—music that is at once festive and intimate, joyful and contemplative. In the museum’s unconventional industrial space, the Baroque sound gains a new dimension: the contrast between delicate vocal and instrumental poetry and monumental technology intensifies the experience of a festive evening. Ensemble Inégal is renowned for its stylistic purity, expressive refinement, and its ability to transform historical music into a living message for today’s listener. This concert offers Christmas in a different light—as a meeting of Baroque radiance with the memory of a place where the history of Czech industry was written.
