The concert at Villa Grossmann will offer an exceptional musical evening for just 50 guests—a close encounter with Bach’s music in surroundings whose nobility and intimacy recall a private music salon. Jakub Kydlíček, a phenomenal Czech recorder player, and the outstanding harpsichordist Vojtěch Spurný will present sonatas and trio works by Johann Sebastian Bach in a form that truly comes into its own through close contact with the audience: every note, every detail of phrasing, and even the silence between them gains a personal dimension.
Spurný is not only a virtuoso harpsichordist, but also a sought-after conductor and expert in Baroque performance practice, bringing living energy to Bach’s inner order. The historic interior of the villa lends the music a special sense of elegance and exclusivity that cannot be experienced in a large concert hall. The evening will also include a discussion with the artists, offering audiences insight into Baroque instruments, the principles of historically informed performance, and the very architecture of Bach’s music. This concert brings together artistic excellence and a unique venue—offering a luxury defined by calm, focus, and a personal encounter with music.
