Due to the ongoing renovation of the Knights’ Hall, the concert has been moved to the Chapel of St Barbara (on the ground floor of Frýdek Castle). Due to the limited capacity of the new venue, two concerts will take place, at 18:00 and 19:30.

An Advent evening in the Chapel of St. Barbara of Frýdek Castle will resonate with Baroque music performed by the distinguished musicians of the Baroque orchestra Ensemble Inégal under the direction of Adam Viktora, one of the foremost experts on the Central European Baroque repertoire. The program Baroque Christmas weaves together spiritual depth and joyful festivity in works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, Georg Friedrich Händel and Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel — composers whose music unites technical brilliance with inner light and emotional intensity. Zelenka’s Salve Regina presents Baroque music in its most intimate form, while the german tradition of Händel and Stölzel brings motion, and a sense of dramatic beauty. Ensemble Inégal is highly regarded for its stylistic purity, expressive precision, and its ability to transform historical music into a vivid and compelling message for today’s listener. In the noble setting of the castle, the concert will offer not only a festive atmosphere but also a deeper dimension of Advent reflection—Baroque Christmas as a musical encounter of joy, faith, and quiet hope.
