Soprano Gabriela Eibenová is regarded on the Czech music scene as a distinguished interpreter of early music. She studied at the Prague Conservatory, completed studies in early music theory and performance practice at Masaryk University, and specialized in historically informed performance at JAMU. Together with organist and conductor Adam Viktora, she founded the vocal-instrumental ensemble Ensemble Inégal, which focuses primarily on promoting the works of the Czech Baroque composer Jan Dismas Zelenka. With this ensemble, she performs regularly at major international music festivals, including Prague Spring, Oude Muziek Utrecht, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Musica Antiqua Brugge, Bach Festival Riga, International Music Festival Santander, Lufthansa Music Festival London, Stockholm Early Music Festival, and others.
She has performed throughout most of Europe, as well as in Israel, Lebanon, and Japan. She has made more than 40 CD recordings. Gabriela Eibenová also teaches masterclasses specializing in early music interpretation. In 2020, she founded the Rosa Bohemica music festival, which brings music to life in spaces marked by a strong sense of genius loci.
