„About the Fourth Wise Man“

This musical cycle tells the story of the long wait for the birth of Jesus Christ during the four Sundays of Advent. A wandering pilgrim—the Fourth Wise Man—experiences the Christmas message through a series of parables. The music by Jiří Mottl and Jan Rokyta is inspired by Czech and Moravian, predominantly Advent, songs. The libretto is based on the book of the same name by Henry van Dyke, and the production is directed by Hana Achilles.
