The charismatic singer Sylvie Bee is an accomplished interpreter of French chanson, a genre whose charm she fell under at the very beginning of her musical journey. She is the winner of an international competition in the interpretation of French chanson (2011), and her repertoire spans French songs from the 1940s to the present day—always with a strong emphasis on authenticity, emotion, and the powerful story behind each piece.
Her musical path began as the vocalist of the art rock band Café Industrial. She later studied classical singing at the conservatory in Opava, yet it was chanson that ultimately captured her heart—a genre that seamlessly blends poetry, music, and theatrical expression. Alongside chanson, Sylvie also moves with ease in the worlds of soul, jazz, and blues, where her velvety voice and deep emotional sensitivity create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
A significant chapter of her artistic career was her collaboration with the extravagant artist Vladivojna La Chia. This partnership deepened Sylvie’s openness to experimentation and brought an additional dimension of individuality and expressiveness to her artistic expression.
