Programme:

Petr Eben (1929–2007): Songs for lute on medieval love poetry

Bohuslav Martinů (1890–1959): Songs on one page

Leoš Janáček (1854–1928): Moravian folk poetry

Jan H. Trneček (1858–1914): Fantasia on a symphonic poem by Bedřich Smetana Vltava for harp solo, op.43

Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904): Aria “The Moon in the Deep Sky” for soprano and harp

The intimacy of the song cycles is brought by the queen of the Czech soprano Kateřina Kněžíková with a generously arched cantilena, in conjunction with the angelic harp of Kateřina Englichová. A combination to render musical poetry that sounds sublime, distinct and colorful, with the harp adding imaginative and festive unusualness to the songs. The concert is based on the new album of the female artists, which was baptized in 2022.
