Kateřina Englichová

Kateřina Englichová is one of the outstanding personalities of European performing arts.

Recipient of the Prague Classic Award 2018, Kateřina Englichová collaborated with important artists and ensembles, both abroad – Mstislav Rostropovič, Carol Wincenc, Gerard Causé, Cindy Phelps, Robert Davidovici, Michael Kofler, etc., and here – Josef Suk, Pavel Šporcl , Ivan Zhenatý, Martin Kasík, Vilém Veverka, Jitka Hosprová, Škampa Quartet, Bennewitz Quartet, Pražák Quartet, Martinů Quartet, Pavel Haas Quartet, Mucha Quartet, Ensemble 18+, Ensemble Inégal, Prague Philharmonic Choir, Kuhn’s Children’s Choir, Boni Pueri etc.

In autumn 2018, she was a member of the jury in the world’s largest competition “Israel Harp Competition”. In the 2022 season, she became a resident artist of the Za poklady Broumovska festival.

As a soloist, she collaborated with conductors Jakub Hrůša, Jiří Bělohlávek, Zdenek Mácal, Kaspar Zehndr, Petr Vronský, Ondřej Kukal, Pietari Inkinen, etc. For several years she played with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra and had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Wolfgang Sawallish, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Seiji Ozawa and others. As a soloist, she collaborated with conductors Jiří Bělohlávek, Jakub Hrůša, Zdenek Mácal, Heiko Mathias Foerstr, Petr Vronský, etc. She took part in festivals – Tanglewood, Tucson Music Festival in the USA, Red Sea Festival in Israel, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, Prague Spring, Prague Autumn, Dvořák Prague, Festival Marnach (Luxembourg), Carintischer Sommer (Austria), Festival Mitte Europa, Sarajevo winter (Bosnia), etc.
